sorry to bother you with that, but the 2.1.5-tarball is driving me nuts.
./configure --with-language=de --with-gdbm=/usr says:
checking for size_t... (cached) yes
checking for gdbm_open in -lgdbm... yes
checking for GDBM support... no
checking for gethostbyaddr in -lsocket... (cached) no
But rpm -qi gdbm is 1.8.0 and rpm -ql gdbm-devel gives:
/usr/include/dbm.h
/usr/include/gdbm.h
/usr/include/ndbm.h
/usr/lib/libgdbm.a
/usr/lib/libgdbm.la
/usr/lib/libgdbm.so
/usr/lib/libndbm.a
/usr/lib/libndbm.so
/usr/share/info/gdbm.info.gz
/usr/share/man/man3/gdbm.3.gz
I tried various paths, make clean, rpm -V. And why don't I get any of
the error messages defined in configure.in?
