When an HTML document is sent to list that is maintained by hypermail, the
image links are broken in the archives, even if the images are also
included as message attachments. For example, see:
    http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-archive/2002Nov/0083.html
This occurs because hypermail adds a numeric prefix "01-" to each
attachment filename. I assume this is done in order to insure that the
filenames are unique (in case the same file was attached more than once).

It would be REALLY nice if the numeric prefix were added ONLY if the
attachment names were non-unique. This would make it possible to send an
HTML document and its images as message attachments and have them show up
    properly in the archives.
