btw, in the mean time, after hypermail generates a slew of html
messages, i run the following script in the html directory:
perl -0777 -pi -e's@(</head>)@<!--colorized--><style>em
{color:#990099;font-family:arial;font-style:normal}</style>$1@
unless m@<!--colorized-->@' [0-9]*
though it can't do different coloring according to quote level, it'll do
for me. :-)
