Yes, but when he did there was some discussion between the two of you on
which code base to start from, yours or his.

I agree with you. A CVS tree with network maintainance is needed.
I was really hopeing Kent would send out his current code base for us to
move on from. If this is avaliable, this would be my recommendation.
To me there are a couple near term priorities that must be addressed.
1) Make HyperMail Year-2000 friendly. It is currently not compliant. Kent
had fixed this in his source tree (or so I understood).
2) Put out a reasonably stable version (with the Y2K fixes).
3) Provide a development version to grow against.
I remember the last time Kent disappeared, there was a phone number for him.
I will be more then glad to call, despite the long distance charges, if it
would allow us to go forward with Kent's two cents included as well.
